Tokyo’s Culture & Culinary History

Visit top landmarks, take a lunch cruise in the bay & indulge your love of ramen with a hands-on instant noodle-making lesson.

About Your Trip

From the moment you step off the plane in Tokyo, the vibrant culture captivates with its rich heritage, bustling street life and scenic natural beauty. Get immersed in it all during an exhilarating full-day tour that brings you past Imperial Palace and through the Akihabara district, which is known for its electronics. You’ll also visit the tallest tower in Japan, Tokyo Skytree, and marvel at the panoramic views from an observation deck. Later, you’ll embark on a lunch cruise while taking in the scenery on Tokyo Bay, followed by a trip to Ginza, an upscale shopping, dining and entertainment district.

Your second sightseeing tour culminates in a fun workshop where you’ll learn how to make Japan’s beloved instant ramen noodles. First, transfer to the Kotoku-in temple and see the Great Buddha of Kamakura, then head to Hasedera Temple. In Yokohama, you’ll learn the fascinating history of ramen at Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum. Then, it’s off to CUPNOODLES MUSEUM YOKOHAMA to see where instant noodles were invented — then create your own version of this worldwide staple with a hands-on lesson!

In your leisure time, why not set out to explore more of the city on your own? Perhaps you’ll discover your new favorite ramen noodle place!

What we love:
• Located at the base of the tallest tower in Japan, Tokyo Skytree, is a shopping and entertainment complex with more than 300 stores, a domed theater, a planetarium and an aquarium.
• Chicken Ramen, the first instant ramen noodles flavor, was invented 50 years ago by Momofuku Ando — his popular “magic ramen” can now be found all over the world.
• Your DreamTrip also includes free time in Tokyo to explore popular sites such as Asakusa Kannon Temple, Nakamise-dori Street and Le Corbusier building (also known as the National Museum of Western Art), a recent addition to the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
